The Certified Passive House Designer Course is really just the formal beginning of your Passive House journey. Critical to developing skills of design optimization and high quality is competence in the the many aspects of the Passive House methodology.
The good news is that these courses are also accessible and affordable for you to study and return to online as you develop as a Passive House professional.
To maximize savings we’re offering three bundles, one for the PHPPv10 updates specifically, then all the PHPP courses, and finally, a bundle that wraps up all the on-demand specialized training currently being offered.
We hope you can take advantage of these great courses!

Thermal Bridging Calculations
Be introduced to thermal-bridge simulation and analysis using the free LBNL THERM software. Learn the basics of the software with a walk-through from installation, library setup, and then modeling several example conditions within THERM. See how the instructor works through screen-casts. Model along with the instructor through the process and concepts of model sample details. Simulate a variety of thermal bridging case examples, from simple wall designs to more complex details. Most examples focus on wood-frame construction and remain relatively simple.
- 14 AIA HSW & 18 PHI Credits available.
- $395
- On-Demand
Passive House Windows
Explore the history of fenestration, the unique characteristics of windows used in passive house, learn how to design and detail Passive House windows, look at look at window calculations for a passive house building, and how to install high-performance windows for Passive House buildings. Discover Passive House Windows through case studies throughout the course.
- 4 AIA HSW and 4 PHI Credits Available
- $95

Passive House Retrofits
The Passive House Institute developed EnerPHit standards to accommodate the realities of existing old buildings, where foundations, party lines, historic preservation, cost, and other factors make a typical Passive House certification impossible. Learn how existing structures can benefit from retrofits to move a structure from a low to a high-performance building, including case studies.
This course is currently only available live, online or in person.
