Learn designPH, the 3D modeling interface that works with the PHPP, from the person who developed the program. David Edwards, developer of the designPH Sketchup extension at the Passive House Institute, will conduct two workshops Saturday, November 9th: a morning workshop to learn the basics and an afternoon workshop for advanced learning. If you’re in Colorado, don’t miss this opportunity!

 A flat $150 registration fee for one or both sessions.  Come in the morning and stay for the afternoon!

Software Requirements: Learners need to bring SketchUp, designPH, and PHPP preloaded on their laptops. It is best to have the latest version: SketchUp 2024, designPH 2.2.20, and PHPP 10.6 IP.   The minimum SketchUp version supported is 2017. ( Note: Learners should have a basic knowledge of SketchUp, as this is not meant to be a SketchUp tutorial.)

Description

Morning Session: designPH Basics – 9:30am – Noon  

Get up to speed on the basic designPH workflow with working examples and discussion.

Afternoon Session: Advanced Training for Intermediate Users – 1:30pm – 4pm

Advanced topics include site & geolocation, trees & shading, organizing the model and troubleshooting the thermal envelope with working examples and discussion.
