We are very happy to support students living and working in the United States with financial incentives, either directly from PHN or in partnership with other organizations. Please take a look through them all and see what you might qualify for.

- Each student is limited to one incentive so that we may help as many people as possible.
- Some incentives may be seasonal or have quantity limits that are not readily apparent.
- Incentives are not applicable to in-house customized training.

California
If you are located in the area serviced by 3C-REN you can apply for incentives that will reduce your registration costs to $150.
If you are located in the area serviced by PG&E, you can apply for incentives that will reduce your registration costs to $500.
Winter Cohort Application is Closed
The Passive House Network is offering a $250 discount on CPHD courses to qualifying individuals. Provide proof of California residency or employment. Just email us at training@passivehousenetwork.org.
Colorado
The Colorado Green Building Guild (CGBG) offers an advanced training scholarship program that incentivizes CPHD training. Rewards can be from 5-90% of training cost. Find out more and apply.
Denver
Those who live and work in the city of Denver can qualify for a training rebate that covers 100% of the cost of training.
Fort Collins
The City of Fort Collins Utilities is offering scholarships to members of the building industry workforce who complete at least 50% of their projects in Fort Collins, with awards of up to $2,000 for individuals and $4,000 for businesses toward Certified Passive House Designer training.
Connecticut
Massachusetts
Built Environment Plus (BE+), through the Commonwealth Corporation’s Workforce Training Express Program, offers up to $1,400 in Express Grant funding toward our CPHD training for eligible employees of Massachusetts companies:
- Companies with 50 or fewer employees are eligible for a $1,400 reimbursement.
- Companies with 51-100 employees are eligible for a $700 reimbursement.
Express Program grant applications must be submitted at least 21 days before the registration deadline on the BE+ website.
MassSave offers 50% reimbursement for up to two professionals per company per cohort upon successful completion of our CPHD training.
New Jersey
NJ Clean Energy Program is now offering Workforce Development Reimbursements of up to $2000 per person per course towards CPHD and CPHT courses.
New York
If you’re working on NYC Housing Preservation and Development affordable housing projects, you may be eligible to have your training 100% covered. The exam is not included.
Vermont
Vermont Passive House is now offering a $500 cost reimbursement towards Passive House Institute (PHI) accreditation training.
BIPOC
To help increase architect and engineer participation in the Passive House sector from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, PHN has established the PHN Passive House Fellowship to provide a 50% discount on CPHD training for US residents of color.
Educators
Currently a faculty member of an educational institution? Provide your faculty ID and receive a $500 discount on CPHD courses. Just email us at training@passivehousenetwork.org
Non-Profit & Public Employees
Do you work for a nonprofit or a government? Provide your business card and statement of employment on letterhead and receive a $500 discount on CPHD courses. Just email us at training@passivehousenetwork.org

We’re happy to offer a bulk discount to firms who are interested in having 2 or more team members enroll in CPHD training.
