Passive House has proven adaptable and effective at all levels of learning, from preschool to universities. While there are many demands, there are also many strategies for success.
As we push toward electrification, public shelter in extreme weather, and flexible infrastructure to serve the needs of fast-changing educational environments, this symposium will look at the unique challenges schools present, Passive House strategies that are working, and the new Passive House frontiers as school systems small and large adapt to the needs of our new realities of climate, power supply, and social well-being.
Experts from the US and worldwide will provide critical insights through case studies and discuss what’s possible next in panel discussions. As communities invest in new construction and retrofit old buildings, let’s deliver school buildings that are as robust as our students and communities deserve.
