Description
This designPH training is a practical guide on using one of the most versatile tools a designer can have in their Passive House toolbox. designPH translates a 3D architectural model into an actionable energy model. With a rapid, iterative process, designers can quickly ascertain the feasibility of a given architectural design and refine it to meet Passive House performance criteria.
Using a 3D-based designPH energy model, designers streamline and accelerate the documentation and further development of the PHPP energy model required for building certification.
This course outlines the detailed workflow and the sequence of necessary steps to use the tool most effectively. It also highlights recommended practices and demystifies numerous special cases and “gotchas” designers can encounter. By completing this course, designers will acquire valuable skills to develop rapid and accurate preliminary energy models that lead to more successful Passive House projects.
