NAPHN founding member and President of New York Passive House, Ken Levenson, has posted an extensive report on theGreen Building Advisor blog site. It documents the events and proceedings at the recent International Passive House Conference held in Aachen, Germany. North America and the NAPHN were well represented at the event. We were proud to support two recipients of 2014 Passive House Awards from North America: Tim McDonald of Onion Flats/Plumbob Design, won for his Belfield, PA, project and Julie Torres Muskovitz whose “Tighthouse,” NY, won the Retrofits category. The NAPHN dinner following the conference was an outstanding success. It exemplified both international diplomacy and effective cooperation between our regional member organizations. We hosted over 30 North American attendees and welcomed an additional 30+ dinners from across the globe. All enjoyed an informal evening sharing their experiences from the conference and learning about how the Passive House Standard is being successfully implemented here in North America.
