New York, N.Y. – Lindsay Schack, Certified Passive House Designer and Co-Founder of Love|Schack Architecture, has joined The Passive House Network (PHN) Board of Directors. She joins a dedicated team working to bring exceptional Passive House education and advocacy to create a sustainable, healthy built environment.
“I have had the benefit of learning from and being supported by this network of experienced professionals in the Passive House space, and I am looking forward to working together to promote Passive House principles in design and construction so we can create significantly more sustainable, healthy, and energy-efficient buildings.”
Schack brings nearly 10 years of Passive House expertise to the board, as well as a passion for advocacy and education. She has sponsored Certified Passive House Tradesperson training in Montana and Wyoming in 2018, 2022, and 2023 and is the architect of the first Passive House projects in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. Her firm prioritizes low-energy design with natural materials.
“We’re thrilled to have Lindsay Schack’s experience and perspective inform our push for Passive House across the country,” said PHN’s Board Chair Katelyn Meehan. “Her experience in sustainable architecture aligns with our goals to advance Passive House education across the building and design industry. We are excited to leverage her expertise to further our goal of creating healthier, more sustainable environments for living and working.”
In addition to her architectural work, Schack is also a dedicated educator, combining her design knowledge with her psychology and research background to help others learn about sustainable design. She has taught classes at Montana State University’s School of Architecture and delivered lectures on sustainability at the Universidad Latina in Costa Rica and for Fine Homebuilding Magazine. She is also one of the founding members of Passive House Rocky Mountains, a PHN chapter, building community from New Mexico to Montana.
