There’s no better time than now to become a Certified Passive House Designer, and if you’re wondering why, look no further than our growing list of incentives. People across the country have seen the value of resilient, efficient buildings that prioritize occupant health and safety and want to make sure these buildings are a part of their community. As a result, various states and organizations are offering incentives for those embarking on CPHD Training. Look at our list and see what incentives you can take advantage of as you join our next cohort.

California

If you live or work in the counties of Ventura, Santa Barbara, or San Luis Obispo, you can become a CPHD at no cost, thanks to the support of 3C-REN. Complete the Interest Form ASAP to confirm your interest and eligibility, as space is limited. Learn more.

If you live or work in PG&E’s service area, you can become a CPHD for just $500. Space is limited, so complete the Interest Form ASAP to reserve your spot.

If you live and work elsewhere in California, you qualify for a $250 incentive thanks to the support of Passive House California. Email us at training@passivehousenetwork.org to provide proof of residency or employment.

Colorado

The Colorado Green Building Guild offers an advanced training scholarship program of 5-90% of the training cost. The next application due date is November 1st, and applicants can expect a response by November 15th. These funds can be put towards our CPHD Training and Specialized Courses. Apply now!

If you live or work in Fort Collins, you could qualify for up to $2000 towards CPHD training. Email zerocarboncode@fcgov.com for more information.

Connecticut

Energize Connecticut, Connecticut Passive House, and BuildGreenCT have teamed up to offer a 75% cost reimbursement towards CPHD courses for Connecticut residents. Download the application and learn more about the Passive House & All Electric Homes Initiative.

Massachusetts

MassSave and Built Environment Plus offer reimbursements between 50-100% on CPHD training. You can download the MassSave Application here and learn more about future Built Environment Plus reimbursements here.

New Jersey

The NJ Clean Energy Program now offers Workforce Development Reimbursements of up to $2000 per person per course. Learn more about the reimbursements here and apply here.

New York

If you’re working on NYC HPD financed affordable housing projects, you can qualify for free CPHD Training. The exam is not included. Learn more.

Vermont

If you live or work in Vermont, you could qualify for a $500 reimbursement towards CPHD training thanks to the support of Vermont Passive House. Check out the info sheet and email info@vermontpassivehouse.org for more information.

Other Incentives

If you live and work outside of these areas, PHN is happy to provide additional incentives you may qualify for. If you are a Student, Educator, Non-Profit or Public Employee, or Senior Citizen, email us at training@passivehousenetwork.org for a $500 training on our CPHD course.

To support a more diverse Passive House community, we are also proud to offer the PHN Passive House Fellowship, which provides a 50% discount on CPHD training for US residents of color. Find out more and fill out the application.
