Course Overview

The PHPP received a major upgrade this past year. Improvements include summer overheating risk assessment, prediction comparison with monitored data, a Room Data tool and Record tool for complex projects, variants including PV and solar thermal, project overviews, component categories for heat pumps and combination units, and more!  Andrew will walk you through the updates, implications, possibilities, and steps to better optimize your next projects!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Outline the basic capabilities of the PHPP energy model in building performance optimization.
  2. Describe modeling improvements regarding overheating risk assessment and prediction comparison and how this can affect building design decisions.
  3. Outline how the Passive House energy model can better serve complex projects.
  4. Describe how new components and systems are better integrated into energy modeling and how that can result in better energy use predictions and optimization.
