The first North American Passive House Network 2014 Conference & Expo wrapped up in Portland, Maine, last week and was by all accounts a resounding success. Attendees hailed from across the United States and Canada. A significant number of foreign guests and presenters lent an international flair to this event. Passive House advocates from Germany, Austria, UK, Cornwall, Ireland, Turkey, Korea, Japan and China all participated, exchanging ideas and technology with the large number of local Maine attendees.
Two new Passive House Standards were introduced to the North American audience in the keynote address by Dr. Wolfgang Feist: Passive House Plus and Passive House Premium. The presentations are available here. An article on the conference has been posted by Martin Holladay on GreenBuildingAdvisor and may be viewed here: NAPHN14 Report Posted on GBA.
